Interview With Dr. Abdullah Ghandhistani Part 1

Dr. Abdullah Ghandhistani

Earlier this year, I started the American Muslim Experience Project: Community Profile. My hope and goals was to photograph and interview some individuals of the Muslim community here. It’s a bit of an experiment and the audio takes are raw and mostly unedited. This interview was done with Dr. Abdullah Ghandhistani, author of Standard English Grammar and Composition. This is the first part of the interview, approximately one hour in length. Stay tuned for the second part shortly.

American Muslim Experience – Community Profile: Muhammad Walker

Muhammad Walker

The past two months has proven to be very full and fulfilling at the same time. Continuing with the American Muslim Experience: Community Profile, I have had the deepest pleasure of meeting, interview, conversing, and photographing Mr. Muhammad Walker. A resident on the outskirts of Philadelphia, Mr. Walker has invited me graciously into his home to share his life’s story, a story that involves his conversion to Islam and his development and growth of a human being through that experience. Due to health conditions, Mr. Walker has been presiding primarily at his suburban residence but is surrounded by family and loved ones.

I will be providing some audio from the two sessions I’ve had with Mr. Walker shortly. For now, enjoy the photo gallery.

American Muslim Experience – Community Profile

Dr. Abdullah Ghandhistani

It has been my desire for some time now to work on doing bio pieces of Muslims in our various communities. I decided to start with my own backyard here in Philadelphia and thus started the American Muslim Experience Project: Community Profile. It has allowed me to meet a vast array of very interesting people from all backgrounds. The above image is of Dr. Abdullah Ghandhistani. I will have an audio review and text to follow shortly. Enjoy,
