I have spent untold hours in front of my Mac this week scanning in images. I love shooting film. I like its feel; it’s characteristics. As for those who think film and digital are the same they’re dead wrong. But, with that said, boy, I sure would not miss scanning in all these images with a 30 minute scanning time for a 2400dpi scan. Oh, well. Nothings perfect. I think I may borrow Michael’s 10D this weekend and play with it a little.

Thanks to MarĂa and Bob Terrell, I finally learned how to cut mats, and make a framed print. I had never cut my own mats before. Man, it is a pain in the rear but I guess it’s worth it since you can save a good amount in cash by doing it yourself. Wew. I’m done for today.

Al Franken has raised an interesting point about The Rapture. If you were on a plane and the pilots were believers in Christ and the Rapture came, they would asend immediatly to heaven. This is okay except the rest of the people who are on the plane are screwed (especially if they’re not Christians). Good point, Frank. We’ll all have to examine this.

This room is too small for a softbox. I’m really excited to have my lights now but now there’s almost too much crap here to do any shooting. Funny…

Government is seeking backdoor wiretapping for communication providers. Yeah!! I feel safer already. Don’t you? No? Why? And oh, yeah, Ashcroft’s gonna cover up more statues, too. You know, I do feel safer.

Mike! What’s up with your article? I told not to criticize the government. Man, you’re gonna disappear! Damn. I told ‘em not to do it.

The Mighty Thor
April 08, 2004 | 17 Safar 1425

I stopped over at Capitol City Comics and picked up issues #1 and #3 of, Visionaries: Thor, Walter Simonson. Bruce should get #2 in soon. This series of comics from Marvel which ran during the 80’s, was one of the best books during its time. The story and art were all superbly crafted by Simonson and personally, it remains his best work to date. It was good to go back into a comic shop. Like being 10 years old all over again except this time I had enough dough to buy all the books I wanted!

Etheopian In Effect, BOY!!
April 07, 2004 | 16 Safar 1425

Yeah, Yirgalem, the new Etheopian restaurant opened their doors last night and dropped a bomb more righteous than the Bush Administration. I highly recommend it. They’re located in the Knickerbocker Place at 2623 Monroe Street.

April 02, 2004 | 11 Safar 1425

The new lens (Sonnar CFE f4/180) got here in record time and we’ll be testing it out today. I hope it’s as sharp as they say it is.
