Six f’ing classes? You’ve got to be some sort of an über-orc to handle six classes. Don’t worry, Jack. We’ll light a candle for you. We’ll also keep the whisky out, for relaxation purposes.

My polaroid back came in for my Hasselblad. I’ve been playing with that today, taking some polaroids here in the office. I may do a series of portraits using the back. New fun. New toys.

It’s under my understanding that the Edgewood College Magazine has gone to press today. I’ll have a tearsheet on the photography site soon. In case yer wonderin’ what I’m talkin’ about, I shot the cover for the annual magazine.

Stealing a line from Charlie Brown, I am able to sum up how I feel. Man, I could really do with a break. I know it’s crazy since I’ve just returned from vacation but I’m just not ready to deal with the day-to-day stupidity of the mass public. If you can’t stay on hold while I transfer you to get help then I guess yer just f#^$*^@ there buddy. I don’t think I’m asking too much. Just a little more time off. Either that or we get to drink rum on the job.

I have found the pages contained herein to be profound and moving. Filled with recounts of freed slaves, talks of resistance and rebellion, Black poets and authors, the Black Power Revolt is a must-read, in my opinion. Anyone interested in reading about the seat of black power and perhaps where it started should order a copy and spend some time combing through this excellent book.
