The End of a Trilogy

Disappointment would be a word that I would use to describe how things turned out in The Matrix: Revolutions. Some how along the way they seemed to loose sight of the movie’s plot. Yes, it’s a Man vs. Machine flick but the script, dialog and other components just seemed to fall off course. That, coupled with gratuitous CGI, made for a movie that first stemmed from its engaging theme and plot to one where the special effects carried the weight (or didn’t carry the weight depending on your opinion) of the film. It would not be fair to lay blame on Reeves or Fishburne, for they played excellent roles in the first Matrix. Now, all my hopes of seeing a decent blockbuster style film before year’s end lies with Peter Jackson and crew for The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. I’ve even begun re-reading the entire book to get into character.
